Blue Steel recently acquired an airship which they named Steel's Edge. I told them that they could earn extra xp by making something to add to the campaign. Oren and Cruxian built decided to build a scale model of the Air Ship.

I updated PCGen. It now includes the latest data files as well as the Magic of Eberron supplement. I also removed the data set that was screwing with armor.
To get Pc Gen to work better you should install the Core PCGen program first. You can download it here.

When you install it some variables get set in the resigtry that makes PCgen easier to work with. It will remeber which books you loaded last time you used it and you can get rid of those annoying pop up windows when you load the books.
After you install the Core PcGen program download the zip from my site and unzip it to the directory where you installed pcgen. Let it overwrite everything and you'll end up with the proper data files.

Being in the right place at the right time with the right action (Confusing an Air Elemental that was kicking the crap out of the party.)
Heroic Deeds (Diving into a 500' pit so your teammate won't go splat.)
Taking the story totally off track and making me improve (not yet!)

Being ready and at the table when it's your turn (Much better last night!)
Solving Riddles/Puzzles

The rules for Cohorts are in the DMG. Just ignore the requirement of the leadership feat (or assume you have it ,I don't care.) Your cohort will join you sometime during the next adventure. You need to create his/her stats and a reason why they joined you/sought you out.
Here's a summary of how spell points work, should be a little easier to understand that the rule book. This was written specifically with Cruxian in mind,who is a sorcerer. Damage spells cost 1 spell point more for everyone else.
Each spell you know costs a number of spell points to cast based on the level of the spell.

The formula is (2 X Spell Level) -1 is you want to know the math.
The exception to this is Spells that deal damage, since those spells get more powerful as you go up levels they cost more spell points to cast, based on how much damage they do.
All the spells that do a D6 damage per level are easy. It's the number of d6 damage they do minus 1. So
Fireball/lightning bolt 9pts (10D6 Damage)
cone of cold 11pts (12d6 Damage)
chain lightning 11pts (12d6 Damage)
These two are funky so they just cost this much:
Magic Missle 9pts
Scorching Ray 10pts
If you empower a spell it costs double. If you maximize a spell it costs 4x as much. That's only if you empower or maximize it yourself, if you use the rod to doesn't cost any extra.
