Dragoncon!

Dragoncon starts tomorrow, and a lot folks here from Dallas are headed to Atlanta for the long weekend. Apparently, all of us are really excited, back in may or june we all bought tickets for the same flight, leaving at 12:45. Everyone's now decided that's just "too late" and is heading to the airport early to see about earlier flights. I won't be updating here till after the con, but check facebook for random Dcon updates

Got a lot of travel happening this month. Last week I was in San Diego for work, this week I'm headed to Atlanta and it looks like the 2 weeks after that I'll be in New York for another project. Whew!

Been trying to fit in as much cycling as possible, preparation for the Lone Star Ride. I did a 65 mile training ride last Saturday, took Sunday off then rode, 20, 30, and 37 miles Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week. With all the travel I have coming up I'm not going to be able to fit much more in so hopefully I'm ready.

Still working on the whole having kids thing, no news yet though.

Headed to Dragoncon!

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
