Many things

Well the house isn't taking to much of my time as school lately. Though we have finally got the house in some sort of order. There are still a few things to taker care of and all the stuff from storage needs to be unpacked but its at least livable now.

School has me buried right now. I have to examine a hard drive image, find all the "evidence" on it and then right a report about it. There are also a few questions that I have to answer. One of which is to get the date that the operating system was installed. That is not easy on Windows 98. Ms-Dos used a crazy date format.

Many things have happened since I blogged last.

George Carlin and Robert Asprin both passed away, which is very sad. I actually met Robert Asprin once at Dragoncon, he was very cool.

The new D&D was also released. I haven't had much time to read it, but it looks like they changed it quite a bit from the last edition. Which I'm sure will be both good and bad. I did read today that the Ptolus Campaign will not be updated to the 4th Edition rules. I pretty much expected that, but that means I'll have to do a lot of adapting on my own. Hopefully, some people out on the web will adapt some of it. I hardly have time to prepare adventures anymore, let alone convert stats to a new game system.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
