Who am I?

So yesterday I get a letter in the mail from my Company. A third party data processor employed by the insurence company that MY company uses got robbed of a few backup tapes. Lucky me, I was one of the 300 people whose name, address, SSN, and Birthday were on those tapes. They said that the tapes were "difficult if not impossible to read" and "required special equipment to access." Whatever, that probably means that they are some kind of freaking old mainframe tape that any hole in the wall data processing company can transfer off.

In any case, I now have fraud alerts with all 3 credit reporting agencies, and the insurence company is paying for one year of the premuin level of identity theft protection from Experian. /sarcasm The premuim service is great! Now If someone steals my identity experian will send me an email letting me know. /sarcasm

Blog Neglect

Well the blog has been very neglected lately. Between work, shopping/getting ready for Christmas, and working on the house it's been left to linger.

This past weekend Elanna and I worked on shelving for house all day Saturday. Two new Bookshelves for the guest bedroom and expanded shelves for the Kitchen.

Saturday Night we went with Donut to see the new James Bond Film, Casino Royale. I have to say it was better than any of the past 3 James Bond movies but I still found it lacking. The plot of a little confusing and I really couldn't figure out a reason that MI-6 would WANT James Bond to be doing what he was in the film. It just didn't seem like they got anything out of it in the end. Overall it was good but could have been better, oh well I'm sure there'll be another.

Sunday, we celebrated Demigoblin's Birthday by going to see the Hatshepsut exhibit at the Kimball art Museum. The history of her reign is very interesting. She declared herself King rather than Queen, was succeeded by her nephew, who 20 years after her death attempted to erase all memory of her. There are a few theories why, the most believable one is that he wanted to establish a clear line fo sucession between his son and the gods but, no knows for sure.

Next Week, I'm back in St. Paul to support the network integration that I've been working on. They I'll be home for a whole day before leaving to go home for Christmas!

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
