I meant to update more last week really. I'm FINALLY done with School for the semester. I guess spending all that time on my paper was worth it though, I got a 98 out of 100. Here it is in PDF if you want to take a look.

This week, of course, starts the Holiday season. I have plans every weekend between now and New Years! Whew

I did get the results from the test last week, but they were less than helpful. It was typical medical mumbo jumbo. They said there was a probability that I could have difficulty if I wanted to have children in the future but that wasn't ceratin. So for now I guess I'll keep what I have in storage just in case.

I'll have to write this entry and not be too graphic since I think Phlome's daughter may read this page now, so here goes.

There is a better than average chance that Chemo will make you sterile. Before I started my treatment I went the Center for Assisted Reporductive Services and made arrangements to still be able to have children if the Chemo did in fact make me sterile. Well now that I am done with all the treatments I'd like to go back and see if I still need thier services. Apparenlty though, you cannot just go to a clinic and say "hey test me would ya." You have to have a Doctors order for them to test you. Seems strange to me. So now I am waiting for the Doctor to call me back, so I can make an appointment with the center and determine if I am in fact sterile. Whee.....

I was supposed to be in Virginia for work this week, however I've been in Oklahoma all week. My Dad went into the Hospital last Thursday and Sunday he was not doing very well. He had a serious case of pnemonia. He started improving on Monday and continued improving throughout the week. He's actually better than I've seen him in months.

I guess I should update the site some. The books and games are a little out of date, and Serenity, sadly, didn't make a big splash in Theatres.

World of Warcraft now installs a spyware program on your PC. It is supposed to make sure you aren't using any kind of cheat software while playing the game. Sony's newest Digital Rights Management software included on all it's CDs and DVDs installs a root kit on your pc to prevent you from copying the CD or DVD. Here's the really interesting bit. Apparently, you can use the Sony DRM software to hide cheat programs from the spyware that WOW installs. Poetic Justice? Maybe Big Corporations should try and protect thier intellectual property WITHOUT using hacking tools like ROOTKITS and SPYWARE.

Well I haven't got any pictures from the Halloween party yet, or even looked at them. I am nearly done with my Term Paper for my course in Network Security Arcitechture. It ended up being 40 pages including diagrams so it works out to about 35 pages of text. I just about had heart failure though. I just opened it up to see how many pages long it was and word informed me it was corrupt. Luckily, I was able to recover it. I'm getting pretty good at that. Apparently MS-Word isn't so good with files you open and close and update a lot. This is the third time I've had to "recover" it. It wouldn't have been a total catastrophe, as I back it up to my flash-disk. I would have had to reproduce about 3 pages of work that I did on it yesterday though.

I'm heading to the Doctor here in a few minutes. This will hopefully be the last of my 5-week post treatment checkups. I'm supposed to have a CT Scan done this month and then hopefully move to bi-monthly checkups.
