Zombie Dogs

Well it seems like that's all anyone can talk about today. The dog that was brought back to life by scientists. Two unrelated news articles I read today even referenced it. I won't even link it, google zombie dogs if you haven't heard of it by now for god's sakes.

I did think this was intresting, you can buy yourself more classic novels than you could ever possibly read, for the low low price of 13 grand (only 8 grand with the Amazon discount!) Seems like one of those gifts for people who have everything. I'd have to spend another 10 grand building a room onto my house to contain it. I wonder if you still get free super saver shipping.

Nothing

I didn't have any big plans for his weekend, other than to do nothing. I've been travelling or had plans for the last 4 weekends so this weekend was to just relax, of course then I got sick last Tuesday and did nothing ALL WEEK, except be sick. So I was kinda stir crazy this weekend.

Went bowling Friday night with Phlome, Ninsi, Squid, and Monketo. Always fun but about 2 games of bowling is all I can usually take.

Saturday worked around the house and then celebrated Ruby's impending newborn at her place till the wee hours of the morning.

On Sunday played Golf with Phlome and Cutter in the Texas heat. I blame that on my moving up 4 strokers from last time.

In way more intresting news the Supreme court decided today that cable comanies don't have to let competitors use thier lines and software that lets you download copies of movies and music is illegal.

So basically, your cable modem just became more expensive while at the same time becoming less useful.

I've been sick for the past two days. Some kids of stomach flu or virus. I stayed on the couch all day yesterday and watched the entire first season of the Dave Chappelle Show. That line made me laugh out loud. I was supposed to be in Florida all this week but the stomach flu kinda kept me from that. Only one more week till my birthday! I know you all can't wait.

Your Physics lesson for the Day

I haven't updated the blog much lately. I've been busy writing a paper for Graduate school on Quantum Cryptography. I probably should have picked an easier topic. To really understand, Quantum Crytptogrpahy you need to have a somewhat basic understanding of Quantum Physics, which I don't, so I ended up having to read quite a bit about that before even starting to research the cryptography. I'm still not sure if I fully understanding "Quantum Entanglement" but I'm not sure anyone really does. Einstien called it "spooky."

I went to A-Kon this weekend with Phlome, Ninsi, and Demigoblin. I was less than impressed. I didn't even get to go to the Dealers room, cause it was closed for some kind of fire code violation. The only picture I took was of a really cool Voltron costume, which I uh didn't upload......

Teaching in Japan

I was going to make the title for this entry "Japanese Schoolgirls" but then who knows what kind of google references I'd get then. Check out this Blog, though it's more like a traditional journal than a blog, It's written by a guy who teaches english to Japanese Junior High Kids.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
